Dan, i am looking to pick up a Uniden um525 in white.

i also want to replace the antenna. i have a fold down bracket mounted to my cabin wall, are these a universal thread?
current antenna is about an 8' fiberglass whip that has already been epoxied back together once.

i can come down that way saturday if you can get it in by then, let me know. ted
