Description
Broke the inlet around 7am to some bird action and swirling bass on the surface just north of the inlet where a fleet had already formed and managed to land 2 shorts on the jig then it seemed to go cold so we headed north to the CG Station where we jigged up a few shorts and a few keepers in the 28-30" range. We heard reports of a hot bite around the inlet so we decided to troll the umbrella's rigs in red and green tubes south towards the inlet and we began picking up bass from 22" all the way to 44"s.we continued to troll north and south around the horn buoy picking away at the bass until we headed in around noon.Total caught today was around 20 bass with 12 being keepers and the rest shorts. One double header had 2 keepers on it.On the way in we ran into large schools of bunker just east of the horn buoy but there were no bass on them.Another great day on the water. All the fish were released today.
