Back by popular demand, we will be holding our Year-Long Tournament again in 2013! Same six categories, same monthly largest fish prizes as well as the option High Stakes entry. New for 2013 we are going back to the weigh in options Larry used years ago...you can now weigh in at any certified scale. This should make it much easier for entrants to participate throughout the state. Don't forget to sign up prior to fishing. Good luck!

Great new Joe. Personally I think in order to register you have to be an active member on the boards with a certain number of posts or something along those lines. This way you wouldn't get joe schmo register just to fish the tournament.

As always we will be happy to weigh any fish you have in. Good luck everyone!

Thanks Joe, appreciate you doing it again. Already recieved my entry confirmation. Lets all support the tournament. Makes it a little more fun to get out thier and at least for me gets me to try to catch some fish that I don't allways target.

Thanks guys. We already have 11 entrants, that is almost as many as we had last year. The High Stakes entries have already exceeded last years totals! I have added a table of the High Stakes payouts to the Entrants List page so everyone can see what those payouts will be.

Any certified scale, most tackle shops have a certified scale. I am waiting to get an updated list from the state, the one they have on their web site is quite old. If there is any doubt just ask the shop to see a copy of the current scale Registration Certificate and valid Inspection/Test Report issued by the County Office of Weights and Measures. As soon as I receive the list I will post it.

I agree with Dan as it would be nice to have a tournament amongst those who contribute to the site. The way for Joe to do that would be by making the tournament by invitation only.

Joe, I enjoyed particpating in the tournament during 2013. I think you have a nice format and should pretty much keep everything the same for 2014 with one exception. I would like to see weakfish added to the tournament. They have made a great comeback and keeping one once in a while does not hurt the resource. I also think that if you begin accepting registrations as early as possible it will result in more registrations for the year.

Thanks,
Paul Haertel
