Headed out July 22 with Chris and crew wasn’t sure what to except after the storm hoping that it didn’t change much out on the fishing grounds but it did! We arrived on the grounds about 6am and set the hook and started chunking but it wasn’t happening on that spot so we pulled the hook and made a move and found an area that was holding some good amount bait and couple guys were already setup and doing ok on the tuna. So we settled in and it took a good hour plus for us to hookup but we did fight the fish for good 40 minutes plus so we new we had something of a good size. Had the fish up twice to the boat and it was nice fish! Definitely on the larger size than what was being caught out on the grounds, got him up a third time and then you heard the SNAP – line broke. The guy on rod, his first time fighting a tuna did one heck of a job with that fish. That was pretty much it for us that day. We did go on the troll but to no avail, had good bunch of guys today they hung there on tough day of fishing - thanks guys. All in all always a good day on the water even a tough day!
