Description
Hit the usally areas between BB and BI for fluke, but with very little drift we only managed shorts. I did pick up a nice size king fish though. Packed up and headed for the Tires. Still no drift but we had some action with short fluke, sea bass and cocktail blues. I was holding bottom with a 1/2 ounce bucktail. Since there was no drift we hit a local wreck and immediately began hooking up with sea bass, porgies and trigger fish. Kept enough for a few meals and headed back to the barn. The trigger fish and the keeper size king fish, were both firsts for me. Ocean was like a lake....what a great day.

Triggers are delicious. I do like seabass a little better. Sean how did you like cleaning them... I saw a video on sticking the tip of a sharp knife in and cut from inside out...worked for us...any other tips?

how i clean triggers is you have to put the tip of the knife up by the eye near the top of the fillet and pop the handle with your hand and if you do it right then it should go into the fish then ride the back bone and go all the way through and come back up and crack the rib cage. no sawing on a diaginal you will dull out your knife and will never get through i did 65 triggers that way it works real good

Swampy. My friend cleaned them. He had never caught any either, he googled a video. How did you cook them?
