BARNEGAT FISHIN’ HOLE BRAGGING RIGHTS TOURNAMENT
DATE and TIME: November 6 and November 7, 2010. Lines in at 5:00 am Saturday until Sunday at 4:00 pm.
ENTRY FEE: None
PRIZES:
None.
Winner will receive a $25 gift card from Sean at Play It Again Sports. Your photo with the largest striper gets posted on the
Barnegat Fishin' Hole website and you can tell everyone you’re famous!
WEIGH STATION: Lacey Marine and Fish Bonz are the preferred weigh-in stations as they will have the official tournament ledger. Scales will be open from 7:00am to 6:00pm on Saturday and Sunday from 7:00am to 5:00pm.
WHERE: All boats (motor, sail or kayak) must fish Barnegat Bay or pass through Barnegat Inlet to the ocean and go no more than fifteen miles from Barnegat Inlet (for example; Cape May, Shrewsbury Rocks, Sandy Hook, etc. are not allowed). The idea is to give those with smaller boats or less time a fair chance at being the winner. Surf fisherman must also fish within fifteen miles of Barnegat Inlet.
RULES:
• All fish must be weighed in by the active
Barnegat Fishin' Hole member that signs up on the website. I will post the final entrant list by 8:00 pm Friday November 5, 2010 on the
Barnegat Fishin' Hole website.
• Heaviest striped bass wins - must be over 28” to qualify.
• Fish must be caught with rod and reel; you may use lures, wire line, live bait, dead bait, etc.
• Fish must be taken from boat (non-charter) or from the surf.
• In the event the fish is caught by boat, the
Barnegat Fishin' Hole member does not necessarily have to reel the fish in but he or she must be on board when the fish is landed. If the fish is caught in the surf or by kayak, the angler must be the
Barnegat Fishin' Hole member.
• All state and federal regulations apply.
• All contestants participate, fish and sail at their own risk!
These are the final results:
First Place: Capt. Jeff Evans - C Witch 21.6 pounds
Second Place: Capt. Scott Secor - Kimberly Ryan 10.6 pounds
Third Place: Capt. Dave Muller - Just A Fluke 10.23 pounds
Fourth Place: Mr. Hooper 9.8 pounds
Congratulations to Jeff (C-Witch) for coming up with the winning fish in not so great sea conditions. Photo will be posted later today. I think Jeff's new nickname will be Die-Hard.
