2012 Barnegat Fishin’ Hole Year-Long Tournament Rules & Regulations
ALL
entrants must be registered Barnegat Fishin’ Hole members.
MUST
be 18 years or older to enter.
You
MUST
register for the tournament at least five (5) days in advance to weighing in any
fish.
Entry is for the individual listed on this registration form and NOT the entire
boat.
All State and Federal regulations apply to season, size and bag limits.
Entrants may fish from surf, jetty, pier, boat (private, charter or party boat)
or kayak.
If fishing from surf, jetty or shore you must be within the boundaries of the
state of NJ.
If fishing from a private boat, charter or party boat you must leave from and
return to a NJ port.
If fishing from a kayak you must launch from and return to the state of NJ.
All fish will be judged by weight only.
All fish
MUST
be caught on rod and reel.
All fish
MUST
be weighed in at participating weigh stations.

Entrant may only win one place in each category.
Angler’s name must appear on the weigh slip.
Enter ‘BFH’ and either your BFH display name or Tournament entry number
in the ‘club name’ portion or on the back of the weigh slip.
Cash prizes awarded for first, second and third heaviest fish in each category.
‘Heaviest 5 Summer Flounder’ category is the total weight of five (5) summer
flounder. The five fish do not have
to be caught in one outing or trip.
Additional monthly prizes awarded to the single largest fish caught in that
month for designated species. (June: striped bass, July: summer flounder, August: summer flounder, September: sea bass, October: bluefish, November: blackfish). Monthly prizes limited to in stock
items and sizes for t-shirt, sweatshirt, cap or visor.
Optional High Stakes Entry is for single largest fish in that category.
You
MUST
be entered in the optional High Stakes category to be eligible for that prize.
You
MUST
be entered in the Year-Long Tournament to enter the High Stakes Entry for any
category.
Optional High Stakes Categories will pay 75% of the entry fees.
All weigh slips must be received within 30 days of the date of the catch.
In the event of a tie in weight, the first weighed fish will take the position.
In the event all three places for a given category are not filled, the remaining
prize money will be donated to the Barnegat Fishin’ Hole Reef Fund.
In the event that no eligible fish are landed for a given category, the prize
money will be donated to the Barnegat Fishin’ Hole Reef Fund. There will be no refunds.
In the event 100 entrants are not entered, a proportionate percentage of the
prize money will awarded.
ALL CONTESTANTS PARTICIPATE, FISH AND SAIL AT THEIR OWN RISK! The Captain and crew are solely
responsible for deciding whether or not to fish.
All Tournament Committee decisions are final.
